We have had a performance and competitive company for the past 25 years. Our company has won many regional and national recognitions over the years, including company members receiving national scholarships.
As the years have gone by, and the world changes, we have decided this year to offer two different performance companies. The NW Stars Cheer and Dance Company has been renamed to Star Company. And a new company is just forming. The new company is called Bravo Company.
Bravo Company is for those who are studying Hip Hop (Streetmoves class), Jazz and Tumbling. The company will present numbers that are a hip hop or funky jazz style. Tumbling is needed for the dance tricks that are needed for this style. Students ages 10-18 years can be part of the company, and 9 yr olds can take the company class as well for a training time in performance. Bravo company offers something for everyone! Even the beginner can have a place in Bravo company.
Star Company is for those students who are studying Ballet, Tap and Jazz. The company offers performances in all styles of Ballet, Jazz and Tap. The company is for ages 10-18 years, but 9 yr olds can be selected to take company classes with the company as a training year.
Mini Star Comapny is offered for ages 4-9 years for those students taking Tap, Jazz and Ballet classes.
Company members are reguired to attend ODMA Dance Convention the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. Other dance workshops and training can be required as well. Each company will have their set competitions and performances to to be a part of.
